Zookeepers have finally managed to picture a rare Andean condor chick, almost two months after its birth at Chessington World of Adventures. Despite its ugly duckling appearance, it did not crack the lens and keepers were thrilled to get past its protective parents for an impromptu photo shoot.

Last week Kate took a well-deserved break from the Chichester Design office, let off some steam and embraced her inner child. She dragged her man Pete along to Chessington World of Adventures and Zoo for a day of rollercoaster riots and animal antics.

Situated in south west London, the Chessington World of Adventures is sort of a theme park and zoo. It is around twelve miles from the central London and nearby to the A3 and the M25 ( junction 9 or 10). There are many tourist hot spots within the park, and these include the Dragons’ Fury Roller Coaster ride, the Bubbleworks (meant mostly for families), and other attractions like the wildlife.

With Ice Age 3 due to hit cinemas this week Chessington World of Adventures has opened a walkthrough Ice Age 3 exhibit featuring all of the characters in a variety of their native environments. As part of the attraction they are also running a competition to win a Nintendo Wii and at the end of the walkthrough there is the opportunity to watch an extended trailer, as opposed to the shorter TV versions.
